Jasper City Schools Will Be Open Monday, Feb. 12th health

Jasper City Schools will be open on Monday, Feb. 12th. Currently, we have seen a low number of absences due to the influenza virus. We will continue to monitor and take necessary precautions to maintain a healthy environment throughout our schools.

Jasper City Schools Receive Report Card Grade Report Card

The Jasper City School System received a B as a final grade on the state report card.  The Jasper City School System scored above the state average on every indicator.

SCHOOLS CLOSED WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 17th; DELAYED OPENING THURSDAY AT 10:00
All Jasper City Schools will be closed Wednesday, January 17th.  We will have a delayed opening Thursday at 10:00.  Doors will open at 9:15 for car riders Thursday.  Buses will start their routes at 8:30 Thursday.  Stay safe and warm!

Schools will be CLOSED ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY, January 16-17, based on EMA weather briefing.  We will have a DELAYED OPENING ON THURSDAY, January 18, at 10:00 a.m.   Doors will open at 9:15 a.m. for car riders. Buses will begin their routes Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m. We will notify you of any changes to this plan via Facebook, SchoolCast, and district website.  Stay safe and warm!

Dual Enrollment Classes Offered on the Jasper High School Campus bevill

There will be two college dual enrollment classes offered at a reduced rate to 10th - 12th grade students at Jasper High for the Spring semester (Jan. - May)

Schools Closing Today at 1:30 PM snow

Due to weather concerns, the JCS schools are closing today - December 8th at 1:30 p.m.

MPS accepts the National Blue Ribbon Schools Award Blue Ribbon

On Tuesday, November 7th we were honored to accept the National Blue Ribbon Schools award on behalf of Memorial Park Elementary and the Jasper City School District. We would like to say a special thank you to all staff, students, parents and stakeholders that have worked to make this possible. Great things are happening in Jasper City Schools!!!!!

Volleyball State Runner-Up VB

Congratulations to the Jasper Varsity Volleyball team for being state runner-up. They played for the title against Pelham on November 2. Congratulations girls!

Mr. Ray Clark Received the Impact Performance Award ray

Mr. Ray Clark, the Jasper City Schools' Facilities Manager, was recognized with the Impact Performance Award by Schneider Electric for his outstanding work.  Mr. Clark assists all the schools in energy conservation and facilities maintenance.

Memorial Park Elementary School Earns National Recognition as a Blue Ribbon School! blue

Congratulations to Memorial Park Elementary School for their recognition as a Blue Ribbon School!  The Blue Ribbon award is the highest national honor given by the U.S. Department of Education to a school.

WHS Graduates Remember a Great Leader tommy

The Walker High School senior class of 2017 opened the graduation ceremony by honoring Walker Assistant Principal Mr. Tommy Hobson.  Each student carried a carnation which they laid on the remeberance table before the ceremony began.
