Coronavirus and School Network Concerns
Due to coronavirus concerns, students will not be returning to school for the rest of the 2019-2020 School Year. Governor Kay Ivey issued this statement outlining alternate methods of instruction set to begin April 6, 2020. We will post additional information as it becomes available.

We urge you to stay safe by following recommendations put forth by public health officials regarding coronavirus.
The Jasper City Board Of Education and the district's five schools (T.R. Simmons Elementary, Memorial Park Elementary, Maddox Intermediate School, Jasper Junior High School and Jasper High School) remain in compliance with EPA’s Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1986. The district conducts three-year re-inspections in accordance with EPA’s AHERA Act. Six-month periodic surveillance and the training of employees will continue.
No asbestos abatement activities have been conducted at any facilities (T.R. Simmons Elementary, Memorial Park Elementary, Maddox Intermediate School, Jasper Junior High School and Jasper High School) in the Jasper City School System within the past 12 months.
The asbestos management plans are on file at Central Office and at each individual school. Plans are available for review during normal business hours. Individuals with questions may contact Central Office at (205) 384-6880.
